Silvia Andrea Tarazona Ariza

Silvia Tarazona is a full professor at the School of Languages of the Industrial University of Santander linked to the Bachelor's degree program in foreign languages with an emphasis on English. He has a Master's Degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona and a Master's Degree in Digital Humanities from the International University of La Rioja. In 2021 he began his doctoral studies in Humanities and Communication at the Open University of Catalonia in the line of research on digital anthropology.  His academic interests span sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, cyberlinguistics, and digital society studies. In her spare time, Silvia travels the world and molds utilitarian pottery.

Zulma Xiomara Rueda García

Zulma is a professor at the School of Languages of the Industrial University of Santander in the Bachelor's degree program in foreign languages with an emphasis on English. In 2017, she obtained a master's degree in Discourse Studies and is currently a pre-candidate for a doctorate in Humanities and Communication at the Open University of Catalonia. His areas of interest focus on the social and cultural dynamics of communicative practices as well as the language ideologies that are reproduced in them. Especially of interest are the critical perspectives of discourse studies and critical sociolinguistics. In addition to her academic career, Zulma has devoted herself in the last two years to painting and illustrating mainly, with watercolors and mixed techniques, and she is the author of the illustrations included in our page.

Silvia Geovanna Álvarez Trujillo

Student of the Bachelor of Foreign Languages with Emphasis program  in English.  Member of the translation research group (SETRA).  His main interests are cultural studies, history, and translation. Together with some colleagues he published a project  entitled "The Forgotten Voices of the Colombian Armed Conflict". His undergraduate thesis was an exploratory study on the perceptions of students, native and non-native teachers towards the ideology of the native speaker in Colombia. Apart from your academic interests  She is a lover of cinema, jazz and animals.
